July 4:
Leaving IBK on the train. Hollywood hills
song came on my iPod.... Depressing!! One of the most beautiful train rides I've
ever been on though!
Met Ally at the train station in
Ljubuljana, the capitol of Slovenia. Made a great sign while waiting on Lara and Rebekka! Then we
explored the city, had iced coffee on top of the highest building!

Then off to Novo Mesto! Picked up Aljosasa!
Had a BBQ at Lara's house in the backyard. Amazing. Thick cheese that was
grilled and the freshest bread you have ever had! Ally and I were a bit obsessed. Almost felt like 4th of
July!
Then went stargazing on a hill that overlooked Novo
Mesto. Managed to break into a castle that is now a five star hotel! Then we went to Aljosas
uncles vineyard, tried some wine and overlooked the city and saw stars again. So great!
July 5:
Road trip!!!

Made two CDs! Finally left at
noon, made a stop at Laras grandparents farm! Every animal imaginable! Really
great! Horses, ducks, donkeys, puppies, chickens, cows! Ally rode on the
donkey! Her grandpa wanted to be a cowboy in Texas when he was growing up. We
had fresh pear juice and then officially began our road trip!

Continued on our way down to Croatia!! Crossing the border into Croatia was pretty
easy, bridge was divided half way and you could tell the difference.

Had
a lot of fun just driving. Got stopped by a cop who was just doing a random
check. Passports passports, wanted to know if we had any drugs then he wanted
to check our trunk, opened it for him, saw how much stuff we had perfectly
packed in there and then said forget it.
Drove our car into a ferry to go to the
island of Pag!!!

Made it to Pag and unpacked the car and got everything organized on Lara's boat: Ajda!
Took a swim in the Adriatic sea- extremely salt and the most beautiful
water I've ever seen. Can't get over how clear it is.

out and then went to pick up Lisa and her sister in the city of Pag!

had ice cream! Just extremely excited to be with great friends again, outside
of Innsbruck! Really great.

July 6:
No Internet. No plans. No stress. And by
the end of the night even no iPhone.

Went to some cliffs nearby which were
great! What did we do? Well we climbed them and the jumped off! Always
wanted to do that! Just as fun as I knew it would be.

Out to dinner and had a giant pizza and
even a banana split! Then went to City Boardwalk Bar and had three giant
drinks! One liter drinks! Had a Deep Diver which was quite strong! Enjoyed our
time there outside with friends.

Then went to the party beach: Zrce. Kind of
reminds me of Miami with outdoor clubs and pools and such. What a great
setting. Six giant clubs on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. After dancing a lot,
realized I didn't have my iPhone anymore. Lost it somewhere between the bar and
the party beach. Assuming it fell out of my pocket as In the next few days we
went back to the places and asked and of course called my phone and no luck.
Unfortunate of course, but not going to let it put a damper on this great trip.
I only have a few weeks left in Europe.

July 7:

Hung out on the boat more and then
eventually went to the cliffs again.

Then to a lunch at the wakeboarding place
and then I decided to do it! Two hours. Never snowboarded, skate board,
anything going sideways if you know what I mean. Interesting start, thankfully
Aljosasa is amazing and gave me good lessons! After the first hour, I managed
to know how to get up easily, then it was just how to stay stable and keep
weight on my back foot! I was determined though! Eventually made it to the
first turn which was quite frightening! Wiped out of course because I have no
idea how to turn! Then next try after more tips, I made it past the first turn
and then second turn... Wow. Major wipeout! Had no idea that turn would be
significantly different! Face plant.

That evening we had dinner at Aljosasa grandparent's house.
Amazing. So much food. Grandparents didn't speak English but could count to
ten. Were really happy to have us there. Typical to not start dinner until
around nine or ten. Grandpa wanted us to keep drinking, drinking, drinking. Insane how
many bottles and shots were taken at that dinner!

Went to a secret beach in the middle of
nowhere with a lot of blankets and had the beat view of the stars.
Indescribable. Could easily see the Milkway galaxy.
Then back to the party beach. Didn't even get
there until well after two. Maybe even three. Doesn't even feel that late
because you have dinner, hang out, then before you know it it's much later than
you could imagine. Saw part of the sunrise over the mountains and the Adriatic
sea on our way back!
July 8:
Enjoyed another day on the boat!
Rather soar from wakeboarding yesterday though.
Going to make dinner and go to Zadar
tonight to drop off Lisa and her sister. Ally and I will stay
another night or two and Lara's family is coming down and are actually going
to take the boat out! Looking forward to that!

Most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen in my
life. Smell of seaside forests on the way to Zadar.
Took Lisa to her bus; depressing! Don't want to talk about it. Had a
dance party with music on the way there! Found out that Ally and I can take a
bus from Zadar all the way to Sarajevo so that's good news!
Back to the boat and lied under the stars
looking at constellations. Had a million blankets and pillows on the front of the
boat. Attempted to watch a movie and managed to fall asleep within the first
fifteen minutes. Slept extremely well outside though!
July 9:

One of the absolute best days since being
in Europe. On the boat all day, parking it in a bay, and literally swimming,
jumping off the boat, snorkeling, sun bathing, playing games, having lunch,
watching the sunset. I can't even explain how perfect today was. One of the
most beautiful sunsets Ive ever seen also.
Back at the marina, grilling out
again. Last night in Croatia. I can already say one of the most beautiful
places I've ever been in my life. Highly suggest going here. I don't think too
many people know just how great Croatia is.
July 10:
Breakfast and then took the boat out again.
Went to another bay and swam for hours. Jumped of the boat, sunbathed, and
started cooking a late lunch.
After another great day in the sun, we had to
head back to get showered, all packed up, and head to Zadar where Ally and I
would catch our bus to Sarajevo Bosnia.
Beyond grateful for such a wonderful,
chill, fun filled trip in a beautiful country with great friends.
One last car ride together where we sang
all our songs and made our way to Zadar.
